Aftab, the Founding President of CTARA, is a young entrepreneur of Bangladesh who has been dreaming since his boyhood to build a platform that can be effective for bringing a positive change to the society. With such aim and so many initiatives to reach it, he took admission into the department of Peace and Conflict Studies in the University of Dhaka. From this department he completed his BSS (Honors) degree and won ‘Tajuddin Ahmad Peace Gold Medal 2016’ for securing the First Class First position in the department. Also he is selected for the Prime Minister Gold Medal on the said ground. Soon after the successful completion of MSS degree from the same department he founded two humanitarian organizations—Working for the Implementation of Peace Education (WIPE) and Center for Tajuddin Ahmad Research & Activism (CTARA). He is also the founding Chairman and Principal of ‘Republic School and College’ (RSC) that was established by his own efforts and initiatives under the banner of WIPE. His institution introduces an inclusive system where quality education is expected to be ensured for the children from both solvent and non-solvent backgrounds. Here he applies some innovative ideas that have already been effective for making a bridge between solvent and non-solvent children whose fruits are particularly going to the poor and destitute ones. In terms of language skills, he is proficient in Bengali, English, Arabic, Persian and Urdu; and has developed an English Teaching Method which is applied in his own and some other institutions. Recently he has taken initiative to spread his methods and ideas among all the private institutions of the country by building a platform named as ‘Bangladesh Association of Private Schools (BAPS). Along with all these and so many other humanitarian activities this young entrepreneur is actively engaged in independent research and writing. As a research-contestant, he presented one of his research articles in the ‘International Conference on Social Movements’ that was organized by ISER and held in Nagpur, India where he achieved the highest appreciation among more than 50 participants from different countries—India, China, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Malaysia. Some of his articles have already been published by BILIA, BILS, ISER and Nagorik. Also he writes in some national media of the country encompassing different issues—education, motivation, grassroots’ phenomena, young entrepreneurship, leadership building, terrorism, national and international politics and the others. Behind all these efforts and activities, he has an ultimate target to implement the concepts of ‘Ideal Village’ and ‘Peace Society’ having a firm determination that ‘Change Is Possible’. He was born in the 1st January of 1993 in Khalishadubi village located in Shalta Upozila in the district of Faridpur, Bangladesh.
